چکیده

Abstract The objective was to compare pregnancy rates (PR) on day 30 and loss between days 60 (PL) after timed artificial insemination (TAI; 0) using 2 synchronization protocols, plasma progesterone 18 in suckled beef cows. Angus cows were randomly assigned either 7-d CoSynch (7-d P + GnRH) or 8-d estradiol (8-d ES) protocols for TAI. On -10, the GnRH treatment group (n=574) received a progesterone-releasing intravaginal device (PIVD) GnRH, -3 PIVD removed cloprostenol. 0 (64 h removal), subjected Day ES benzoate, -2 removed, cloprostenol cypionate. (48 TAI each determined 60. In subset of [n=81, n=41; ES, n=40)], serum concentration evaluated 18. PR GnRH=48.9%; ES=45.6%) PL GnRH=3.6%; ES=4.6%) did not differ (P≥0.28) groups. cows, (P=0.67) groups but tended be less (P=0.07) that had compared with no PL. conclusion, there difference estradiol-based ovulation

Importance of estrus on pregnancy per insemination in suckled Bos indicus cows submitted to estradiol/progesterone-based timed insemination protocols.

The objective was to evaluate the effect of estrus occurrence (based on removal of tail-head marks) on ovarian responses and pregnancy per AI (P/AI; 30 d after AI) in suckled Bos indicus beef cows submitted to timed AI (TAI) protocols. Cows received an intravaginal device containing 1.0 g progesterone, and 2.0 mg estradiol benzoate im; 8 d later, the intravaginal device was removed, and they we...

Comparison of a Select Synch/CIDR + Timed Artificial Insemination vs a Modified Co-Synch/CIDR Estrous Synchronization Protocol in Suckled Bos Indicus Х Bos Taurus Cows

Suckled Bos indicus  Bos taurus cows were used to compare a Select Synch/CIDR + timed artificial insemination (AI) protocol (SSC) vs a modified Co-Synch/CIDR protocol (COS). Five groups of suckled Bos indicus  Bos taurus cows were evaluated (n=659). Cows received GnRH and a CIDR on d 0. On d 7, SSC cows had their CIDR removed and received prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α), whereas COS cows had their ...

Synchronization of Bos Indicus-influenced Cattle for Timed Artificial Insemination

Developing successful methods for synchronizing estrus and ovulation in cattle has been a major research interest for at least the last 35 yr. Early objectives focused on the control of the corpus luteum (CL) and artificial insemination (AI) relative to estrus. Ultimately, the goal has been to achieve precise synchronization of ovulation so that cattle can be inseminated without regard to estru...

Synchronization of estrus in suckled beef cows for detected estrus and artificial insemination and timed artificial inseminati

We determined whether a fixed-time AI (TAI) protocol could yield pregnancy rates similar to a protocol requiring detection of estrus, or estrous detection plus TAI, and whether adding a controlled internal device release (CIDR) to GnRH-based protocols would enhance fertility. Estrus was synchronized in 2,598 suckled beef cows at 14 locations, and AI was preceded by 1 of 5 treatments: 1) a CIDR ...
